Vicky's Top Tips for Better Waxing Results

BODY WAXING TIPS

✅ I recommend waxing regularly every 4–6 weeks for the best long-term results.

✅ Concerned about discomfort? Some clients find taking their usual pain relief 30–60 minutes before their appointment helpful.

✅ Exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and help the hair release more easily.

✅ Arrive well-rested and hydrated. Tiredness, stress, illness and dehydration can make you more sensitive.

✅ Yes, you can wax during your period, although some people find they are more sensitive at this time.

✅ Avoid waxing if your skin is sunburnt or you've recently used a sunbed.

✅ Please let me know about any medications or active skincare products you're using, as some can make the skin more sensitive.

First wax before a holiday? Plan ahead! Don't assume you'll be completely hair-free for your entire holiday after your first wax. Some hairs may not yet be ready to wax and can appear a few days later. Regular waxing gives the best holiday results.

✅ For 24–48 hours after waxing, avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming, sunbeds, fake tan and strenuous exercise.

✅ Start exfoliating again after 48–72 hours and moisturise regularly to help prevent ingrown hairs.

✅ Avoid shaving between appointments if possible – regular waxing gives the best results.

✅ Recommended aftercare products, including soothing and ingrown-hair prevention products, are available from my treatment room.

My top tip: Consistent waxing often leads to finer, softer hair growth and smoother skin over time. ✨
